A tree and power lines fell onto the Metra Rock Island line at 96th Street and Longwood Drive on Oct. 30, resulting in blockage on both tracks.
Metra officials said at about 3:10 p.m. that one track was now cleared, and trains going inbound and outbound would operate on that track this evening.
Metra received a report of the downed tree and lines at about 12:25 p.m., a spokesperson said, and one of the tracks was cleared as of 2:49 p.m.
Workers continue to address the situation, the spokesperson said, and passengers should check for updates at train platforms and online.
