Crime report

An armed robbery occurred in Beverly the night of Oct. 21, according to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department.

Police said the incident was reported at about 7:25 p.m. on the 2200 block of West 96th Street.

Two offenders approached a lone male victim from behind, police said, and one of them displayed a handgun while the other took items from the victim.

The offenders then fled on foot down an alley, police said.

They were both described as black males, between 17 and 20 years old, about 5'9", 170 pounds.

One was wearing a black and gold Pelle Pelle jacket and dark jeans, and the other was wearing a black hooded jacket and dark jeans.

Police encouraged people to call 911 immediately and provide a detailed subscription if they see suspicious people, and to keep tracking software and security locks on cellphones.
