Four people, including two children, were injured after a porch collapsed at a residence in Morgan Park, according to the Chicago Fire Department (CFD).
Larry Langford, CFD spokesperson, said the incident was reported on June 5 at 11727 S. Church St.
Two women, along with the two children, were in stable condition, he said.
They fell about 15 feet after a small porch at the top of a side entrance to the second floor collapsed.
Langford said the cause was likely old wood and the weight of the people on the 4-by-4-foot deck was too much to hold.
