Dr. Liz Regan, Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC) medical director of disaster medicine and preparedness, speaks outside the hospital this morning, March 25, after several local legislators dropped off breakfasts for health care workers provided by The Original Pancake House-Beverly.
Regan said the meals provide a boost for staff members working tirelessly in the fight against COVID-19.
ACMC officials said there have been multiple cases of the illness at the hospital and they are awaiting test results for other patients.
The breakfasts were provided through a GoFundMe fundraiser organized by 19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea. Donations support efforts by many local businesses to provide meals for those on the front line in the fight against COVID-19.
