Police said the incident was reported on the 11100 block of South Vincennes Avenue at about 10:24 p.m. on Feb. 1.
The victim, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital.
Police said he reported that he was standing on the sidewalk when a red vehicle drove up and an occupant fired shots at him.
