A law-enforcement vehicle was stolen in Morgan Park and seen hours later in another South Side neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).

The CPD Office of News Affairs said the theft was reported at about 1:11 a.m. on Nov. 24 on the 10900 block of South Talman Avenue.

Two people were driving northbound in a white sedan and pulling on car-door handles, police said. One of them checked a parked sport-utility vehicle (SUV), entering it and fleeing southbound with the white sedan trailing it.

The SUV belongs to a 46-year-old man, police said, from an agency outside the CPD.

The vehicle was last seen on Nov. 24 at about 6 a.m. in West Englewood on the 6500 block of South Bell Avenue, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area South detectives are investigating.
