The sixth annual Beverly Art Walk attracted thousands of visitors on Sept. 21, with attendees streaming through major corridors to take in art, music and food. The Beverly Area Arts Alliance, which founded the event, estimated that 10,000 people attended. Members expressed their gratitude and said they hope the event spurs more support for the local economy. “The Beverly Area Arts Alliance extends its heartfelt thanks to every local business, artist, musician, volunteer and community partner who helped make the sixth annual Beverly Art Walk an amazing success. The event is a tremendous undertaking by a small but dedicated Alliance team of volunteers, and we rely on your support and participation to make this day possible. Please join us in thanking our partners in the arts: shop or dine at participating venues, support our local creative community by buying art and seeing live music, and be a kind, active and involved neighbor in our great Beverly/Morgan Park community.” Alliance members organizing the walk include Dave Barsotti, Lizzy Benner, Sal Campbell, Chris Castaneda, Kristen Dobbins, Bill Halverson, Cicely Harris, Corinne Rose, Ross Weiler, Chris Wilczak, Monica Wilczak and Carla Winterbottom.
