Lincoln Park Zoo’s 25th annual ZooLights will illuminate the zoo with more than 2.5 million lights and hundreds of dynamic displays. ZooLights will run from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, Nov. 29 to 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 6 to 8, Dec. 13 to 15, and then nightly Dec. 16 through Jan. 5, 2020, excluding Dec. 24 and 25. Lincoln Park Zoo’s 25th annual ZooLights will return this holiday season on Friday, Nov. 29.

In addition to the ongoing light displays, guests can attend several special events throughout the season.

A Chicago holiday tradition that helps keep Lincoln Park Zoo free and open 365 days a year, ZooLights illuminates the zoo with more than 2.5 million lights and hundreds of dynamic displays. This free event transforms Lincoln Park Zoo into a twinkling winter wonderland for 28 nights complete with visits from Santa, ice sculptors, carolers, festive activities and sweet treats of all kinds.

ZooLights will run from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, Nov. 29 to 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 6 to 8, Dec. 13 to 15, and then nightly Dec. 16 through Jan. 5, 2020, excluding Dec. 24 and 25.

ZooLights Family Nights will be held Mondays, Dec. 9, 16 and 30. The evenings will include all regular ZooLights activities along with free rides on the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure.

The Light Maze takes guests on an enlightening journey. Get lost in a maze of 30,000 LED light bulbs at Foreman Pavilion. This ticketed experience returns to the zoo for a third year and will run every night of ZooLights.

The Holiday Market will return for its fourth year on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jumpstart holiday shopping against the backdrop of 2.5 million lights by browsing through treasures from local artisans, makers and crafters. Entry is $10, $8 for Lincoln Park Zoo members.

Adults Night Out: Holidaze, on Thursday, Dec. 5, will give adults ages 18 years and older exclusive entry to the zoo after hours.

Come for the lights, and stay for the ugly sweater contest, dazzling displays, holiday activities, music, cash bars and wildlife chats. The event will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $15, $12 for Lincoln Park Zoo members.

Food, hot chocolate, festive cocktails, mulled wine, and beer will be available for purchase.

BrewLights will return to the zoo on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Guests ages 21 and older will enjoy local craft and seasonal beers amidst the dazzle of ZooLights. Enjoy photos with Santa, free rides on the carousel, live music and more.

Breakfast with Santa will be on Sunday, Dec. 15, starting at 9 a.m. There will be four seatings. Adults, ages 13 and older, are $45; children, ages 1 to 12, are $20; and tiny tots ages 12 months and younger are free. All children will enjoy a complimentary cookie decoration station.

The Chris White Trio Tribute to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be held at 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. Tickets start at $25.

Ring in the New Year at Zoo Year’s Eve. This adults-only celebration counts down to 2020 with DJ entertainment, games and giveaways in the glow of ZooLights. Food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

The event will run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Early-bird tickets start at $10.
