Blue Island Park District

The Blue Island Park District will host a variety of summer camps at Memorial Park, 12804 S. Highland Ave.

A Mini-Camp Experience for children ages 4 to 8 years old is a half-day camp held in four weekly sessions with different themes. Campers enjoy movement, stories, crafts and games–both indoor and outdoor. The program fee includes snacks.

The new Teen Camp is designed for 13- to 15-year-olds to have the #BestSummerEver, while making great memories and lifelong friends. In addition to plenty of time spent outdoors, playing sports and hanging out at the pool, Teen Camp helps promote civic engagement, with one day a week dedicated to community service projects. Teen Camp includes lunch.

The park district’s popular Summer Camp for boys and girls ages 4 to 12 years old features highly engaged camp counselors and a full spectrum of activities including crafts, experiments, games, sports, swimming, field trips and more. Three sessions are available. Day Camp includes lunch.

Sunrise and Sunset camps are also offered for parents who need extended hours for their campers.

Br. Rice High School

Br. Rice High School. 10001 S. Pulaski Rd., will offer many summer camps for boys and girls in grade school and high school.

Academic Camps include robotics and speed/mental math.

A variety of sports camps are also offered for campers as young as third grade. Camps include baseball, basketball, football, cheer, baseball and football combo, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, swim, track, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.

Br. Rice will also host boys camp for first- to sixth-graders and camps for

incoming freshmen.

Marist High School

Marist High School, 4200 W. 115th St., will offer 64 camp sessions this summer. From chess to rugby and forensic science to football, there will be something for everyone during the summer at Marist.

Marist offers several Kiddie Camps for children as young as 4. Offerings include all-day camp, basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball.

Co-ed camps are available for various ages in several sessions and include camps for art, band, chess dance, medieval fencing, forensic science, leadership, pole vault, technology, theater, track and field, soccer goalie, broadcasting, speech and acting.

Boys camps include basketball, baseball, football, lacrosse, distance and cross-country running, soccer, volleyball, wresting and rugby.

Girls camps for various ages include basketball, lacrosse, distance and cross country running, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball and cheerleading.

Morgan Park Academy

Morgan Park Academy (MPA), 2153 W. 111th St., has several options for campers during the summer.

Junior Day Camp for ages 4 to 6 includes full and half-day options. Campers will gain self-confidence and foundational skills for lifelong learning through both teacher-guided investigation and independent exploration.

Enrichment Camp for grades two to eight are designed to provide a fun and enriching camp experience.

Sports Camps for grades two to eight focuses on building skills and gaining confidence with basic and advanced techniques. Players also benefit from technical and tactical training with age-appropriate activities such as tactics under pressure of an opponent and game conditions.

Theater Camp provides hands-on experiences in acting, singing, choreography and more. The camp helps to build self-confidence, performance skills and collaboration. Through theater games, improvisation activities and more, every camper will have the confidence to perform on stage in a showcase for family and friends. Theater camp is for grades three to eight.

The Academic Camp is for students entering grades two to eight at all levels of achievement who would benefit from intensive, individualized courses that focus on acquiring specific academic knowledge and skills. The course will help strengthen academic skills, prepare for future challenging work or remediate a deficiency.

MPA Day Camp offers campers a chance to rotate all over campus enjoying many activities sure to spark interest and imagination. Engaged campers will experience art, music, drama, games, science investigation, projects in the new tech center, activities in the maker space and more. Every Friday will be a special day with either a field trip or a special visitor. Day Camp features a new theme every week.

Mother McAuley High School

Mother McAuley High School, 3737 W. 99th St., will host a variety of summer camps for girls beginning in June.

Mini Mac Camp for first through sixth grade is an enrichment camp with hands-on, project-based sessions that give girls the opportunity to explore in a creative environment. The theme this year is “Road Trip,” and campers will “journey” across the country with sessions including art, music, theatre, cooking, technology and science.

Leadership Camp for seventh- and eighth-graders offers the opportunity for young women to explore their strengths, grow confidence and prepare to become one of the leaders of tomorrow through a week of dynamic sessions with successful alumnae and professionals.

Sports Camps include water polo, volleyball, tennis, swimming, softball, soccer, running, lacrosse, golf, basketball, bowling and diving.

Academic Camps include creative writing and STEM studies, and Fine Arts Camps feature theater, music, strings and visual arts.

St. Laurence High School

St. Laurence High School, 5556 W. 77th St., in Burbank, will offer co-ed, boys and girls camps this summer. Camps are offered both individually and in packages.

Athletic camps include baseball, basketball, cheer, football, injury prevention for female athletes, lacrosse, soccer, softball, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, tennis, track, volleyball, volleyball attack and defensive clinics and wrestling.

Co-ed activity camps include analytics/Sabermetrics, app coding, art, band, drama, eSports and leadership.
