The Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) invites local residents to put on their gardening gloves and join in a community-wide “clean and green” on Saturday, April 27, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Work sites are located throughout the neighborhood, and tasks focus on removing winter debris, leavesand litter. Garbage bags, brooms, rakes and shovels will be provided. Volunteers are also welcome to bring their own tools.

Students can earn community service hours for their time.

Locations for BAPA clean-ups include parks, Metra stations and other public spaces. Several neighborhood schools are also organizing clean-ups.

Volunteers interested in helping out can find locations and sign up on the website at bapa.org.
