Patricia Ann “Pat” O’Connell (nee Donohue), 88, formerly of Beverly, died Sept. 16.

Visitation will be held Oct. 17, at 9 a.m., at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Raymond John (Diana Valois) O’Connell, Daniel Michael O’Connell, Mary Jo (Clinton) Smith, Timothy Francis (Kathleen Lamb) O’Connell and Nancy Edith (Jay) Cunningham; her siblings, Caryl Scahill, Maureen McDonnell and Thomas (Debra) Donohue; her grandchildren, Dan O’Connell, Nova Lynch, Jody O’Connell, Stephanie Oehmen, Rebecca Gilbeaux, Jessica O’Connell, Stacey Oehmen, Christopher Johnson, Jamie Oehmen, Timothy O’Connell Jr., Kimberly Johnson, Sean O’Connell, and Julian and Jack Cunningham; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

O’Connell attended Mercy High School (1949). She began as a customer service representative at Illinois Bell Telephone Company and worked her way up over 30 years to become regional manager.

She was involved in the Mercy High School Lunch Bunch, St. Michael’s Parish, the WOW group (a social organization dedicated to widows and widowers), Red Hat Society, Travels, Bridge and Bunco gatherings, volunteering as an election judge, fitness at the Riviera Health Club and part-time associate as Carson Pirie Scott and Co. in Orland Square Mall.

O’Connell enjoyed her weekly piano lessons and her recitals at Ortigara’s Musicville in Chicago Ridge. Her dedication and passion, along with her delightful melodies, will forever be in the hearts of her family and friends.
