Joan E. Tobin (nee Stucker), 86, of Beverly, died April 12.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Donnellan Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Frank (Elizabeth) Tobin III and Martha Tobin; her grandchildren, Jack, Johanna, Kiera and Kate; and her siblings, Fred (Debbie), Tom (Petie) and Pete (Roberta) Stucker.

Tobin had the privilege of living a religious life of service as a Sister of St. Joseph and then as a devoted layperson, selfless mother and loving wife.

She worked as a hospital social worker and continued to give during retirement as a volunteer for Margaret’s Village, a home for disadvantaged women and children, and a committed associate to the Sisters of Mercy. Her constant smile was a reflection of the joy she found in the many treasured relationships she enjoyed with her friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Margaret’s Village are appreciated at margaretsvillage.org.
