The Mt. Greenwood Branch of the Chicago Public Library would like to thank everyone for yet another fantastic Summer Learning Challenge!

The 2019 “Explorers at Play” was our most successful year yet, with 710 children completing 565,380 minutes of reading.

Special thanks go out to the children, their parents, teachers, the incredible Junior Volunteers and the great staff at the Mt. Greenwood branch library.

This all would not have been possible without the extremely generous donations from the following local people, businesses and organizations: 19th Ward Ald. Matt O’Shea, Beggar’s Pizza, Beverly Bakery and Cafe, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burr Oak Bowl, County Fair Foods, DeJay’s Ace Hardware, Fat Tommy’s, Fox’s Restaurant, Haunted Trails, Kiwanis Club of Southwest Chicago, La Fiesta Restaurant, Lou Malnati’s, McDonald’s, Mr. Submarine, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Oberweis, Patti Crema, Raising Cane’s, S&T Provisions, state Sen. Bill Cunningham, state Rep. Fran Hurley, Sky Zone-Orland Park and the Windy City Thunderbolts.
