Whether it’s an injury from work or play, life can be a pain.
But, people don’t have to live with that pain— just schedule an appointment for physical therapy treatments from Dr. Jaime Van Buskirk and the staff at JVB PT.
After graduating from Marquette University with both her bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training and her doctorate of physical therapy in 2008, Dr. Van Buskirk provided therapy for patients at several leading physical therapy centers.
She opened JVB PT, PLLC, in March of 2018, and since that time, she has built a thriving practice that has served hundreds of local residents.
Located in Mt. Greenwood at 3938 W. 111th St., Suite 1B, JVB PT provides more than just outpatient physical therapy; it treats not only the injury, but the entire patient.
Each treatment session is specifically tailored to provide individualized one-on-one care with a comprehensive approach that helps facilitate a full and speedy recovery. The goal is to “help you return to your best you!”
JVB PT offers free injury screenings and a wide variety of services that include the following: physical therapy, manual therapy, dry needling, work rehab, workers’ compensation/conditioning, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports medicine and athletic training for athletes after an injury.
Dr. Van Buskirk is a Certifed Orthopaedic and Manipulative Therapist (COMT) through IMPACT 2015, a Certified Manual Trigger Point (dry needling) Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars 2017, and a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2006.
In 2018, Dr. Van Buskirk was named the clinical instructor of the year at Marquette University.
Dr. Van Buskirk has recently become active in treating cervical pain, chronic headaches and migraine headaches. She continues to participate in continuing education to advance her manual therapy skills in an effort to provide effective treatments for these conditions.
Also on staff at JVB PT is Dr. Christopher Ciciora.
He earned both his bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science (2016) and his doctorate of physical therapy (2018) from Marquette University.
Dr. Ciciora has a background in treating orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation patients. He is certified in the Otago Exercise Program, which enables him to help reduce falls in the elderly population.
Since opening, JVB PT has received outstanding reviews from its clients.
“Jaime and Chris are knowledgeable, professional and friendly,” wrote one patient. “I came in with a swollen ankle after breaking my leg and having surgery with a plate and pins, and over the past three months, they significantly improved my overall condition. I couldn’t recommend a better team!”
“Jaime saved the day with her dry needling therapy,” wrote another. “I had a migraine for over a week, and one treatment finally gave me much needed relief! She really cares about you and your unique situation. I highly recommend JVB PT!”
In supporting the community, Dr. Van Buskirk and JVB PT have supported local groups such as the St. Christina Booster Club, St. Christina Holy Name Society, Team Kevin, Kevin Kennelly Scholarship Fund, St. Albert’s Holy Name Society and the National MS Society.
Dr. Ciciora has also been involved with Honor Flight Chicago, which flies U.S. military veterans to Washington, D.C., for a day of visiting war memorials and returning to Chicago to be greeted by the cheers of family, friends and military personnel.
JVB PT is open Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
