Christ the King (CK) Elementary School is thrilled to welcome back its new and returning pre-kindergarten to eighth-grade students.
Christ the King boasts an ideal student-teacher ratio, with class sizes averaging 15-21 students. These small class sizes, along with MAP testing (2nd-8th), Fountas and Pinnell benchmarking (K-3), CogAT testing (1st-5th) and formative assessments (all grades), allow teachers to differentiate to meet the needs of all students, all while instilling Catholic values in the children.
CK offers both half-day and full-day preschool.
CK is always expanding its technology resources. This year, it received three amazing new Sonic Boards. Students in grades 4-8 have the Dell 3189 Touchscreen Chromebooks, which continue the school’s mission to provide students with the opportunity to learn with interactive devices in all grades. These devices also include iPads, Mac Books, Apple TV, Promethean Boards and document cameras.
The fine arts program is a priority at Christ the King, with offerings in art and music. Spanish is now part of the fourth- to eighth-grade curriculum, and Christ the King’s state-of-the-art drama program is Broadway-ready.
School spirit is plentiful in the CK athletics program, which includes football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, running club and golf. Go Screaming Eagles!
Work will soon be underway at Christ the King School in North Beverly, and there is no shortage of excitement.
The old convent will be gutted, remodeled and a small addition added, resulting in new kindergarten rooms; new art and music rooms; guidance counselor’s room; a new media center; and a new secure main entrance and office.
The existing main building and newly renovated convent building will also be connected for easy mobility between spaces, and an elevator will allow handicap accessibility to all five floors of the school.
CK spirit has never been stronger!
