Although Michael McCready is proud to be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his law practice, he takes even more pride in the thousands of Chicago and Northwest Indiana residents he’s helped over the past two decades.
A Beverly resident and father of six with his wife, Denise, Michael McCready received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and continued his education at the University of Richmond obtaining his law degree in 1992.
Immediately after graduation, he worked as a law clerk for a federal judge in the State of Virginia. He moved to Chicago the following year and began working at a law firm handling personal injury cases. After four years at the firm, he rose to partner.
In 2000, he opened his own practice, McCready Law, and has helped injured victims get the compensation they need after being injured due to the negligent actions of others.
He provides clients with a clear and concise consultation to help them better understand their case and how they can leverage the law to help injured individuals seek compensation for damages.
His primary areas of concentration include personal injury law such as car accidents, workers compensation, bus accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death claims, animal attacks, slip and fall injuries, premise liability claims and more.
Since starting his own practice, the firm has grown rapidly. McCready is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia.
McCready is a member of the American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the
Chicago Bar Association.
Throughout his career, Michael has won numerous awards for his success in and out of the courtroom including Millions Dollar Advocate Forum, 2017; AV Rated: Martindale-Hubbell, 2017; the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, 2017; and Best of Chicago, Personal Injury Attorney, 2017
He is also a member of various professional organizations dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals. He has also been invited into the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum where membership is limited to trial lawyers who have obtained million-dollar settlements for their clients.
Since the firms opening, the attorneys at McCready Law have collected over $50 million for their clients. Rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau, McCready Law has certainly lived up to its motto: “We don’t say we get results. We prove it.”
The attorneys at McCready Law are persistent in getting cases settled, but not afraid to litigate or go to trial.
Rogelio Garcia and Stephanie Leet, partners at McCready Law, are also driving forces for the firm.
After passing the bar, Garcia worked in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office, mostly handling criminal cases. From there, he went to work for a small law firm where he met McCready. Not long after, Garcia made partner in 2009.
Before becoming a partner at McCready Law also in 2009, Stephanie Leet worked at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office. Among many other things, Leet handles the firm’s federal worker’s compensation practice.
With their extensive knowledge, Garcia and Leet are proud to join McCready in serving their clients.
