The Chicago Bulls made headlines on Sept. 22 when the franchise announced that Billy Donovan had been hired as the team’s next coach, replacing Jim Boylen.

In five seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Donovan finished with a 400-243 record (.608 winning percentage) and five playoff berths. He also won two national championships at the University of Florida.

According to our Twitter poll that accumulated 188 votes, Bulls fans are ecstatic about the hire with 66.5 percent (125 votes) “loving the hire,” followed by 29.3 percent (55 votes) liking the hire as a “solid/safe choice.” And in distant third, “Not right guy for the job” pulled in just 4.3 percent (8 votes) of the total vote.
