The parish of Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church will host its carnival and festival from Thursday, July 29, to Sunday, Aug. 1, at 95th Street and Lawndale Avenue in Evergreen Park.
The event will feature rides by Windy City Amusements, nightly live entertainment, raffles, games, a “Turbo” Queen of Hearts, beer garden and food including Barraco’s pizza, beef sandwiches and chocolate slushes; Edgar’s tacos and nachos; Mr. Freeze ice cream; Big Jim’s doughnuts; Fat Tommy’s hot dogs, Italian sausage and chips; and the Most Holy Redeemer’s Men’s Club’s brats. Pop and water will be available from the parish, along with the beer garden.
Unlimited ride tickets will be available for purchase.
Featured bands at the festival include the following: Thursday, Juke Shakers; Friday, the Stockyard Kilty Band and Rocks Off; Saturday, Sun Fallen; and Sunday, Brian Lawler and a surprise band.
Carnival hours are Thursday and Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Festival hours are Thursday, 6 to 11 p.m.; Friday, from 6 p.m. to midnight; Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight; and Sunday from 3 to 10 p.m.
