Morgan Park American Baptist Church

Pastor Thomas Aldworth, of Morgan Park American Baptist Church, will offer a free presentation, “Perchance to Dream: Exploring Sleep and the Problems that Arise,” at Smith Village, 2320 W. 113th Pl., on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Aldworth, a licensed professional counselor, will examine the best ways for seniors to get the sleep they need. The presentation will be in the main community hall just off the main entrance.

Trinity Covenant Church

The Pryme Tymers, an active fellowship that meets at Trinity Covenant Church, 9230 S. Pulaski Road, in Oak Lawn, invites the community to its meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m.

Musician and singer Eric Luckey will perform. His program includes music from the 1920s through the 1980s.

At noon, a catered beef stew luncheon will be served. The cost is $7, and requires reservations.

“Spirituality 101: Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life” will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m., or Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m., beginning Jan. 9 and 11 at the Center, 12700 Southwest

Hwy., in Palos Park.

Richard Rohr strives to show how the heartbreaks, disappointments, and first loves of life are actually stepping stones to the spiritual joys that the second half of life has in store.

Everyone will need a copy of the book for the class. Registration is appreciated, and the cost of each class is $8.
