Beverly Unitarian Church
Fix It-Healthcare at the Tipping Point will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m., at Beverly Unitarian Church (BUC), 10244 S. Longwood Drive.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The BUC Social Action Committee and representatives from the Illinois Single Payer Coalition will host an hour-long documentary and guided discussion about health care. “Healthcare at the Tipping Point,” which explores how the dysfunctional healthcare system is damaging the economy, stifling businesses, discouraging physicians and negatively impacting the nation’s health, while remaining unaffordable for a third of citizens, will be screened.

Morgan Park Baptist Church
The Rev. Dr. Thomas Aldworth, pastor at Morgan Park Baptist Church, 110th Street and Bell Avenue, will speak on “Helping Heal Insomnia” based on the current best approaches for treating this common complaint, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to noon and again from 7 to 8 p.m., in the church parlor.
Aldworth is a licensed professional counselor who will bring to this presentation what he learned at a recent all-day insomnia-treatment workshop.

Communion is offered at services on the first Sunday of each month (except December) at the Wayside Chapel, 12700 Southwest Highway, in Palos Park. Services are at 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Volunteers are needed to set up communion as well as helping to distribute it.
The Wayside Chapel serves a non-alcoholic cup and gluten-free bread.
