A Morgan Park man was killed and two other people were injured after they were ejected from their car during a single-vehicle crash on Western Avenue near the Beverly/Evergreen Park border, according to the Evergreen Park Police Department (EPPD).
The victim who died was identified as Paul Washington, 38, of the 2500 block of West 117th Street.
Police said officers responded to the crash on the 9200 block of South Western Avenue at about 5:11 a.m. on April 27.
The vehicle, a Ford sedan, was traveling south on Western when the crash occurred, police said. The three occupants were transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, and Washington was pronounced dead at 11:04 a.m.
The EPPD is investigating the crash in conjunction with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.
Western Avenue re-opened at about 11 a.m.
