A teenage boy was arrested and charged after robbing a mail carrier in Beverly, according to the Chicago Police Department Office of News Affairs.
Police said the robbery occurred on the 1800 block of West 103rd Street on Oct. 5 at about 2:30 p.m.
The victim, a 59-year-old man, was working outside, police said, when a 17-year-old boy approached him, threatened him and stole items. The offender fled, police said, but he was arrested by responding officers.
Police do not release the names of juveniles who have been arrested.
The teen was charged with a felony count of robbery and a misdemeanor count of obstructing identification.
