Trees downed on Windy City Sunday
- Updated
Heavy winds pounded Chicago for most of the day on Sunday, Nov. 15, taking down several large trees on the 9600 and 9700 blocks of South Winchester Avenue and at 97th Street and Longwood Drive. A hollow tree that fell near 96th and Winchester contained a humming beehive. Nearby, a wasp nest came to rest on the ground. (photos by Susan DeGrane)
