Dolehide Dermatology opens at Christ Medical Center

Dolehide Dermatology, led by Beverly native Dr. Conor Dolehide, opened at Advocate Christ Medical Center, 4400 W. 95th St., Suite 406, on July 1. Dolehide Dermatology provides comprehensive care for medical and cosmetic aspects of a wide range of skin, hair and nail issues, in addition to screening and diagnostics for skin cancers, including melanoma. As a Mohs surgeon, Dolehide has particular expertise in the removal of melanoma and other skin cancers, as well as in post-removal reconstruction. Since opening at Christ Medical Center, he has provided consulting for colleagues at the hospital for difficult skin cancer cases. Dolehide is a graduate of St. John Fisher Elementary School in Beverly and St. Ignatius College Prep. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and Northwestern University, then Rush University for medical school, an internship and his residency. He also completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery at Florida State University. Dolehide said he decided to pursue a career in dermatology due in part to a family history of melanoma. His late grandfather, Dr. Robert Dolehide, practiced medicine in the neighborhood at 11250 S. Western Ave. and nearby hospitals, for over 50 years. “The Dolehides have been taking care of South Siders since 1955,” Conor Dolehide said. Conor’s wife, Jessica Quaid, is the office manager. The practice will also open another location at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox in the coming months. For more information, call (815) 215-8292 or visit dolehidedermatology.com. (Review photo)
