Waffle Pancake House celebrates opening

Waffle Pancake House, 3458 W. 111th St., in Mt. Greenwood, celebrates its opening with members of the Mt. Greenwood Chamber of Commerce during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 12. On hand for the event were Mt. Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Darlene Myers (from left); CIBC Bank Associate Manager Lola McCaster; Waffle Pancake House owners Irineo, Pedro and Fernando Cruz; Hippo’s Bar owner Christine LeFils; Brooke LeFils; and Natalie Wendt. Waffle Pancake House opened on Jan. 30, and it has received enthusiastic reviews from local residents. With a motto of “the best way to start your day,” Waffle Pancake House offers a wide selection of delicious items, and besides its namesake items, the restaurant serves made-to-order omelettes, skillets, Benedicts, crepes, French toast, sandwiches, burgers, salads, kids meals and more.
