The Beverly Book Club will host a virtual discussion of “Memorial Drive,” by Natasha Trethewey, on Wednesday, May 19, at 2 p.m.
Copies are available for checkout at the circulation desk of the Beverly Branch Library, 1962 W. 95th St.
“Memorial Drive” is a chillingly personal and exquisitely wrought memoir of a daughter reckoning with the brutal murder of her mother at the hands of her former stepfather and the moving, intimate story of a poet coming into her own in the wake of tragedy.
This event will take place via Zoom. Participants must register at least 24 hours before the event. Only one registration per household is needed.
Participants will receive an email with a link to the secure Zoom meeting about 24 hours before the meeting. By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by library use guidelines.
