Children's Film Festival
The 14th annual 19th Ward Children’s Film Festival will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
The film festival will feature a showing of “Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank,” at 10 a.m., and a showing of “Lightyear” at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $1 per person per film and include movie and snacks during the show.
Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and will be sold the day of the event.
Parent chaperones are appreciated.

Mt. Greenwood Library
The Mt. Greenwood branch library, 11010 S. Kedzie Ave., will host programs and activities in December for the entire family. Registration for programs is required unless otherwise noted.
Upcoming programs include the following:
Christmas Program on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m., for ages 4 and up.
The program includes stories, bingo and a craft.

Jr. Book Club, Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 4 to 5 p.m., for grades five and six.
Read this month’s book selection, “Greenglass House,” by Kate Milford, then join in for a discussion and activities.

Family Carol Sing
Beverly Covenant Church, 10545 S. Claremont Ave., will host a Family Carol Sing and Party on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 10:45 a.m., to sing favorite Christmas carols.
The party continues at noon with a tamale lunch, pinata, crafts, music and an impromptu pageant.
