The Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St., and its Summer Arts Camps return to a fun-filled summer of art and learning.

Summer Arts Camp is a day camp for children ages 5 to 12 with curriculum in dance, film, music, theater and visual arts. The camp is broken into six two-week sessions, each with a different engaging theme. Scholarships are available.

•Get Your Brick On, Lego-themed camp, June 7 to 18.

Attention all Brick Masters, get a Lego up on the competition. Build with them, design them, sing about them and dance while thinking about them. This camp is all Lego all the time.

•A Pirate’s Life for Me, theater camp, June 21 to July 2.

Ever wanted to be a swashbuckling, deck-swabbing, lily-livered matey? Avast, ye hearties, join other scallywags in this hysterical camp filled with singing, dancing, acting and stage combat.

•Heroes Among Us, music and dance camp, July 5 to 16.

Join the BAC as it celebrates firefighters, soldiers, police officers, first responders, principals, teachers, doctors, nurses, moms and dads with workshops in dance and music that will strengthen the body and liberate the creative soul.

•Love Your Neighbor, fine arts camp, July 19 to 30.

Get messy and creative with chalk, paint, clay and more. Create masterpieces in different art mediums including ceramics, mixed media and comic book art while celebrating the similarities and differences that make our community vibrant and diverse.

•Going Green, science camp, Aug. 2 to 13.

Learn how to save the planet and shrink your carbon footprint in this fun camp that explores where art and science meet. Experiments across grade levels explore what we can do to save our planet.

•Legends and Warriors, film camp, Aug. 16 to 27.

Calling all superheroes, save a city, a multi-verse or uncharted land. This fun camp will use theater and film classes to create new stories of heroes old and new with campers starring in their own action films.

The BAC will also offer Tots Camp, a day camp for children ages 3 to 5 with curriculum in letter recognition, dance, numeracy, music, social-emotional learning, theater and visual arts.

Tots Camp is offered half day, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., or extended day until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Campers enjoy working with a rotation of teaching artists and experience sensory activities, outdoor play and silly games. Scholarships are available.

•I Am Me, June 7 to 18.

This camp celebrates the child while learning about friends and family. Literacy and numeracy games and activities keep campers on-track while discovering what it is to be an individual.

•Everything Suess, June 21 to July 2.

Calling Thing #1 and Thing #2 to the greatest, most funnest, most splim-splam-splenderifious camp ever. Meet the Cat and the Hat and Horton. Find out if you like green eggs and ham. Discover the vibrant world of Dr. Seuss while making amazing crafts and singing silly songs.

Campers will celebrate Mondays, unbirthdays, standing-on-one-leg days and backwards days in the silliest camp this side of an underwater zoo, a mountaintop aquarium or a pig in outer space. Kids sing, create, play and learn as they laugh their way through the day.
