The Chicago Public Library will host “Family Gap Year: Trading the Daily Grind for Adventure and Connection” on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m., via Zoom. Author Sheila Maloney, of Beverly, will discuss her book “Family Gap Year.”

Brazilian-born Maloney is a lawyer, wife and mom of three. Her family moved to Brazil and had an experience of a lifetime. Maloney will share her “Gap Year” experience and help participants create their own adventure. “Family Gap Year” is available now on Kindle and soon in hardcover.
