Timothy R. “Oats” O’Loughlin, 59, of Morgan Park, died June 6.
Funeral services were held June 10 from Curley Funeral Home to St. Cajetan Roman Catholic Church. Private interment followed.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary Beth (Rob) Husfield, Kevin (Mary Kay) O’Loughlin, Ann Nolan and Teri (JR) Makowan; his nieces and nephews, Rob and Elizabeth Husfield, Sean (Meghan), Maggie, Shannon and Matthew O’Loughlin, Ryan, Katie and Bridget Nolan, and Isabella and Emmalina Makowan; his aunt, Donna Rohde; and many cousins and friends.
O’Loughlin was born and raised in Chicago and was a proud graduate of St. Cajetan Elementary School, Marist High School and Arizona State University. He was an avid basketball player and loved golfing.
He was a die-hard Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks fan.
A natural entrepreneur, he owned a security firm and Wise Guys Pizza and was also a real estate broker.
O’Loughlin shared his passion for sports through coaching and impacted the lives of many kids over the years. In addition to his passion for sports, he loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing and riding his bike. He will be remembered by his friends and family for being humble, prideful, a talented athlete, kind, smart and funny.
