The Maple/Morgan Park Community Food Pantry needs your help during its Thanksgiving Meals Appeal.

Are you hungry to help?

For 37 years, the Maple/Morgan Park Food Pantry’s outreach emergency food assistance program has provided full emergency assistance meals throughout the year and give away meals of Thanksgiving turkeys with the trimmings for our hungry neighbors residing in our diverse communities in Chicago and in the nearby south suburbs. Communities of color, “high needs areas,” are most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and this is 88 percent of the pantry’s hungry neighbors that it serves.

In our organization’s history, we have conclusively observed that the holidays are not joyous times for our hungry neighbors, but just another day looking into an empty refrigerator.

No one should have to go hungry this Thanksgiving.

That’s why I am asking you to stand with our loyal donors/supporters and please help us provide full turkey meals with the trimmings for our hungry neighbors this holiday season.

Your gift feeds our hungry neighbors. We can’t do what we do without you. Donate now!

The Thanksgiving turkey meals giveaway for our hungry neighbors will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Maple/Morgan Park Community Food Pantry, 11030 S. Longwood Dr., with curbside/parking lot no-contact pick-up.

Thank you for your generosity.
