Mother McAuley star libero Gigi Navarrete continues to pile up national awards after her outstanding senior season, and she was recently named to the 2023 All-USA Today team, a prestigious award presented to the top 25 high school volleyball players in the country. The national Girls Volleyball Player of the Year will be announced this summer. Navarrete, a 5’6” libero, was the defensive anchor of a dominant Mighty Macs defense and finished the 2023 season with 613 digs, 115 assists and 42 aces. Mother McAuley (39-3) won the Class 4A state championship. A four-year varsity starter for the Macs, Navarrete is a Northwestern University recruit.
