Game of the Week

Br. Rice (1-0, 0-0) at Marist (1-0, 0-0)

March 26, 6 p.m.

Fall or spring, rain or shine, hot or cold—it’s always a good time for the Battle of Pulaski.

Both teams are coming off solid Week 1 road victories with Br. Rice taking down Providence Catholic and Marist beating Notre Dame.

The matchup to watch is a battle of junior quarterbacks in Jack Lausch of Br. Rice and Dontrell Jackson Jr. of Marist. Lausch (Beverly, St. Barnabas) threw for 120 yards and ran for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns against Providence. Jackson threw for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 48 yards against Notre Dame.

This rivalry showdown almost always comes down to a late possession in the fourth quarter, so stay tuned until the end.

Both the Crusaders and RedHawks scored defensive touchdowns in Week 1.

Br. Rice has won the last three times in the Battle of Pulaski.

However, the smaller crowd this year could impact the always-charged, intense atmosphere.
