Marist girls tennis Coach Nicole Selvaggio was inducted into the Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC) Athletic Hall of Fame on Feb. 14 as part of its Class of 2023.

Selvaggio played tennis for the Cyclones from 2011-2012 and was their coach from 2013-16. One of the most successful tennis players in MVCC history, she was an undefeated first-singles champion in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region IV and the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference both seasons and helped MVCC qualify for nationals in 2011. In 2012, she helped her team go undefeated and win conference and region championships before competing at nationals again. Selvaggio was named NJCAA Region IV and Skyway Conference Player of the Year in both seasons. Returning to coach at her alma mater, she earned Skyway Conference Newcomer Coach of the Year (2013), two consecutive Skyway Coach of the Year awards (2014, 2015) and NJCAA Region IV Coach of the Year (2014).
