Mt. Greenwood volleyball wins league title

The Mt. Greenwood Elementary School boys volleyball team wrapped up a dominant eighth-grade season with a 21-18, 21-17 victory on May 7 over St. Cajetan at Br. Rice High School to win the South Suburban Volleyball League championship. The Eagles finished the season with an impressive 42-0 overall record, including a 10-0 record at the Marist tournament in April. The Mt. Greenwood roster includes Zachary Andrasco, Billy Bochenczak, Anthony Carter, Jimmy Carter, Joey Escobarete, Drew Fielder, Nicholas Mayoski, Dominic McCann, Kevin O’Connor and Patrick Sweeney and Coach Mary Bochenczak and Coach Staci Fielder.
